How the "Greater Good" is Used as a Tool of Social Control
Sep 22, 2020
Individual Liberty versus Collectivism
  • Does the individual exist for the benefit of society?
  • Or does society exist for the good of the individual?
Fallacy of Misplaced Concreteness:
  • Treating an abstract term as though it has a concrete existence (such as abstract concepts like "society" or "The State" or "the people" or "the will of the people")
  • Society is an abstract term that does not carry life.  An individual is a concrete entity that carries life.
Collectivism
  • Under collectivism, who defines what is considered to be this "greater good" that individuals must serve?
  • The political elites & their buddies are individuals who define the "greater good" for society or The State.  But they are actually just asserting their preference based on what benefits THEM.
  • There is no way to define what is universally "good" for everyone.
Collectivist Propaganda
  • Collectivists discredit individual liberty by portraying that it is leads to isolated, lonely people.
  • Collectivism is the path toward community, they claim.
  • It is the opposite.
  • Humans are naturally social, and they will use their individual liberty to associate with others and create communities.
  • Contrary to the propaganda of the collectivists, loneliness and isolation actually occur widely under collectivism, communism, socialism, totalitarianism.

Totalitarianism cannot be defeated by compliance.
Compliance is the food that feeds totalitarians.
